The reopening of hospitality
As we start the phased reopening of hospitality and non essential retail, Midland Chilled is on hand to support our customers as they reopen.
We understand that trading levels for al fresco dining are unknown, which is why we have a wide range of chilled, ambient and frozen goods available. This means we are well placed to help you manage your stock levels and margins whilst minimising wastage.
As we head to the full reopening of hospitality with indoor eating from 17th of May, please be assured that we are keen to help you maximise the pent up demand from your customers.

Established in 1976, Midland Food Group is the leading chilled foods wholesaler to wholesaler and supplier to the UK foodservice sector.
When Peter Shirley founded the business in 1976, it originally serviced wholesalers and small catering businesses in the West Midlands from our base in Willenhall. Since then, the business has steadily expanded and grown considerably, enabling us to offer a nationwide service to wholesalers and the foodservice industry.
Now, we have a portfolio of, and supply over 3,500 different products, sourced from around the world and across the UK to over 2,500 individual customers from our two sites – Willenhall in the West Midlands and Basingstoke in the South.
We have our own production facilities at Willenhall where we produce an extensive range of popular pies, pasties, sandwich fillings and meat products. Our facilities also include a dedicated area for slicing cooked meats for our charcuterie range.
The future will see us continuing to broaden our product range and continued expansion of our service, but we will never forget that the Company exists because of our customers.
